Hello again!
This isn’t going to be too much of a tutorial as it is giving you a basic idea of how to make this. I probably did this the most complicated way possible, however after searching the Internet I didn’t really find a really detailed how to. Granted I didn’t try that hard to search either.
Ok, so you start with a hard cover book. I used one I got for free that was kind of beat up and the pages were a little faded and messed up.
The time is upon the Page family. It’s PCS time! Well, coming up in may but we like to start early so things run smoother. For those not familiar with the massive amount of military acronyms we are moving. From the beautiful Hawaii to the east coast. Yes, I will probably freeze to death. Ha!
So yes, today when I was going through my craft room and doing a little cleaning I found a stack of old book pages from a week or so ago when I made a hollow book. For some reason upon finding these pages I automatically thought “Paper Cranes!”.
After making five of the little guys using THIS website as a guide since I had no idea how to make them I strung them all on some thread and looked for a place in the house to put them. Yes, I usually do things backwards. Make it then find a place for it. 🙂
So my daughter was the lucky one who now has a beautiful book paper crane mobile in her room.
I wanted to post a few photos of my newly organized craft room.
The shelving and rug came from Home Depot and cost roughly about $50-60. However we also had to get a couple more things so it was actually a bit cheaper for just the shelves and rug. Little hint, wire shelving is complicated and expensive. So we got simple wood shelves.
The baskets came from the NEX. I was torn between a light muted green or this robins egg blue.
