Yesterday my husband comes home from work with a gift card to Jo-Ann Fabrics. Recently we got into a little argument, typical married couple thing haha, and he felt bad so this was a little “I’m sorry” gift. He can be such a sweetheart. Yano, a strong marriage isn’t built upon always getting along, it’s built upon realizing when you messed up and being strong enough to say your sorry and move past it. Not saying I’m never wrong 😛 I just usually say my sorry’s with his favorite strawberry candies or some other favorite food of his.
So back on topic, we went to the store and I really wanted a loom set. Continue reading
I just finished knitting a pretty awesome toy hammock for my little one. Unfortunatly there were a couple bumps along the way (i.e.: little one pulled my knitting needle from the thing at one point). Also I got side tracked a lot so stitches were improperly knitted. However, all that being said it actually turned out pretty well!
I cannot begin to explain my latest obsession.
Wait…. I mean I can, just can’t express why it’s this one. Well now that I think about it I can do that too.
Lately I’ve been on this knitting and crocheting rampage. It started when I was still in Hawaii and it’s the only thing I was able to get away with NOT letting the movers take.
Unfortunately I don’t have photo’s of everything on my iPad (which is how I update this). Every time I’m on my mac I tend to play World of Warcraft…. or watch endless amounts of Man vs. Wild. I do have a couple on here though.
Regardless of having or not having photo’s, thus far I’ve made:
Wheew! That was an adventure. Still continuing actually, but now that the madness is slowly calming down after a huge move I am able to set aside time to update everyone.
We just moved from Hawaii to North Carolina. Surprisingly I don’t miss it all that much. Things are expensive there! Not to mention its great to be this close to family again. Also, SALES ARE EVERYWHERE! I am now able to go to places like Michaels and Jo-Anne Fabrics! I’m in heaven! There is just one “downside” (and I use that term very loosely), we went from a 1400sq foot house (military housing) to a 995sq foot apartment on the 2nd floor.
Needless to say we are selling some things. On a cool note though, the reason I’m loving this small place is because it forces together time with family and makes me think outside of the box.
Ever notice how when you have a bigger house where every room has one purpose (office room, craft room, bedroom, living room, play room,….whatever rooms you have) then family tends to basically stay in their favorite room and not spend much time actually together? Living in a small place forces you to make multiple uses for one room. Our kitchen now doubles as a library due to us not having any space for book cases or any good vertical space to put shelving.
