My husband loves his strawberry candies. This isn’t to mention the box of Salt Water Taffy I recently got for him on a little family vacation while he was in training.
I’m not sure about some of you, but I find the colorfulness of candy to be extremely visually appealing and just makes a space friendly. However, aside from a collection of jars that I hadn’t taken goo-gone to yet, I had nowhere to display this candy and I really didn’t want to go with the generic bowl. Thus my little lizard jar with feet was born!
Today I made two pillows for our pseudo L-shaped couch. Basically we just put two nice futons together, layed one flat and put it against the wall and put the other with the back up right against it. It is a great idea! Unless you don’t have pillows for the back.
It’s finally finished!

“what if I mis-measure?”
“What if I mess it all up and waste that upholstery fabric?”
“What if I think I did a good job and it just falls apart?” Continue reading
I recently finished a table for mine and my husbands bedroom. We wanted something that would allow for a place to put a catch-all bowl for his boot blousers, loose change, and other stuff he may need. Military wives should be familiar with the boot blousers annoyingly laying anywhere and everywhere.
The table had to be small enough to not take up loads of space, but big enough to serve its purpose.
We found this beauty on Craigslist for $10.
