This is the starting point for my personal journey through the fitness world to better my mind and body. Also to set a good healthy example for my daughter.
Let me start by telling you about me and where I was.
When I was in high school I was certainly not the most active by any standard. Sure I walked a lot with friends around the neighborhood, but that was it.
After high school when I got my first car the walking pretty much stopped. Sure I went camping and stuff sometimes but that’s not really that physically challenging. Not where I lived anyways.
That pretty much carried on till I got married. I didn’t put on a lot of weight, but I did put on about 10 lbs after my one quarter stint at Ohio University. Lots of walking mostly uphill since freshman weren’t allowed cars. I was in ok shape then I guess.
Now if you take into consideration that I had pretty much nill for muscle you can guess that pretty much all the weight I had was fat. Mostly on the belly and hips. Since that’s generally where women tend to store it. Also keep in mind that I’ve never been huge on eating a lot. In general my calories always stayed between 1000 and 1300 per day and I was not working out or keeping fit at all.
